Non-Reimbursable Investment Recommendations
Division of Water Resources - Document Imaging Program

Introduction

The Division of Water Resources has requested non-reimbursable funding in the
amount of $212,000 for continuation of the Division's surface water document imaging
system.

Backl!round

The Division's surface water document imaging program is expected to complete
the imaging of all of the Division's water records, including:

. Decrees: old Civil Actions and newer Water Court decrees
· Diversion records, including the old Water Commissioner field books, and the
later computer-generated reports. Although these later records are available in
computer data base form, each page has the Water Commissioner's signature or
initials, and thus is worth imaging.
· Filing statements and filing maps - many of these old documents are becoming
brittle and need to be preserved for future use.
