"But it would reduce it some if you have
that dam up river catching there."

"Probably about 15 percent."

"Is that all?"

"Fifteen thousand acre-feet, in that range."

"And then the other thing. Narrows of
course, like everything else, has gone up and
down and around. I know it is authorized and
set to go. Do they contemplate that channel-
ization in the Bureau's plans now, or didn't
they go ahead with no channelization?"

"No, it is not in the plans. Mr. Droskin
from the Bureau is here."

"I thought they went ahead without it,
didn't they?"

"Without, yes."

"Well then, if you go to where you are
thinking now, is there any chance of holding
up, or delaying, or changing the plan as it
stands for the Narrows now?"

"The only problem we are going to have
with the channelization is with the Secretary
of the Army's office and the Office of Manage-
ment and Budget, because I have a feeling that
the reviewers in those offices are going to
want to know what the least costly alternatives
are. They are going to want some studies to
show that the reservoirs are as good or better
than the channelization."

"I would hate after all these years to
hold up the Narrows any longer. I would rather
go ahead and let it get started and let thi~
thing come later."
