The request is to provide matching dollars in order to take advantage of the federal funds
available from the Corps of Engineers. CWCB funds, if authorized by the Board and the General
Assembly, would be available for all phases of the technical and design needs for a proposed Greeley
floodplain project. Matching funds will also be required from the City of Greeley and other local entities
to better allow the CWCB's funding to be leveraged against! federal and local funding.

Staff Recommendation

Staffrecornmends that the Board request the General assembly authorize $100,000 from the Construction
Fund to be appropriated to the Colorado Water Conservation Board for assisting the City of Greeley,
Colorado to formulate a floodplain project on the Cache La:Poudre River.

.

.

Flood Protection.
