Floodplain Management Issues, Grand Junction Flood Control Levee System on the e <br />Colorado River Presentation,. continued (11:34 - 11:38 am.) <br /> <br />Chuck Lile thanked Larry Lang for arranging the tour of the Colorado River <br />Redevelopment Project wi.th the City of Grand Junction and Mesa County. <br />Lochhead and Harrison discussed the need for flood control compared with the goals <br />of the Fish and Wildlife Service, such as providing enough room for natural channel <br />migration in the IS-mile reach. <br /> <br />17a. Instream Flow Program: Preliminary Notice, Water Division 4; Saguache, Gunnison, <br />Hinsdale, and San Miguel Counties. (11:38 - 11:43 am.) <br /> <br />Dan Merriman, CWCB staff, reviewed the status since the last meeting and asked the <br />Board to advance and allow staff to continue to develop final recommendations. <br />Questions were asked by Martineau and ShefteL A motion was made by Lochhead <br />and seconded by Smith to advance to final notice. The motion passed unanimously <br />(8-0). <br /> <br />. 18b. Instream Flow Program: Final Notice, Water Division 6; Routt, Moffat and Rio <br />Bianco Counties. (11:43 - 11:48 am.) <br /> <br />Dan Merriman reviewed the staff recommendation. Questions were asked by Smith <br />who moved to adopt the staff recommendation. The motion was seconded by <br />. Harrison, and it passed unanimously (8-0). <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />29a. Instream Flow Program: Statements of Opposition, Case No. 1-92CW051; Twelve <br />Mile Fishing Club. (11:48 - 11:50 p.m.) . <br /> <br />Harrison disclosed his firm is a co-objector in the case but saw no conflict and <br />decided to participate. A motion was made by Harrison and seconded by Lochhead <br />to approve the staff recommendation. The motion passed by unanimous (8-0) <br />decision. <br /> <br />29b. Instream Flow Program: Statements of Opposition, Case No. 1-92CW059; City of <br />Blackhawk. (11:50 - 11:52 p.m.) <br /> <br />A motion was made by Harrison and seconded by Lochhead to approve the staff <br />recommendation.
