January 28,1998 <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />8:09 a.m. <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board was held at the Holiday Inn <br />Denver Northglenn, 10 E. 120th Ave, Northglenn, Colorado, 80233. The meeting was <br />called to order at 8:09 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 1998, by Chairperson Patricia <br />Wells. Seven voting members were present so there was a quorum (at least six required). <br />Board members present were Patricia Wells, Allen Davey, David Smith, Ray Werner, <br />Janice Sheftel, Bob Burr, Alan Hamel, Lee Miller (representing the Attorney General), <br />Bruce McCloskey (representing the Division of Wildlife) and Peter Evans.' <br />Note: While many agenda items were taken out of order due to attendee convenience, <br />these minutes are listed in agenda item order for easier reference. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Review and Approval of Agenda and Next Meeting Dates <br />Tape I, Start/Stop: 000 I - 0200 <br />The following changes were made to the agenda: items 6b, 7b, 9a(i) and <br />9a(v) were deleted, while items 19 and 27 were deferred to the March <br />meeting. A motion was made by David Smith that the agenda be approved <br />with these changes. The motion was seconded by Janice Sheftel and <br />approved unanimously (7-0). <br /> <br />The March meeting will be held on March 10-11 in Denver, with a <br />workshop on the afternoon of the II th that will include the Water Quality <br />Control Commission and Wildlife Commission members and staff. It was <br /> <br />lA complete record of the meeting has been made on audio cassette tapes. The tapes and the associated staff memoranda are the only legal record <br />of the meeting. These written summaries are intended only as an aid to research and a guide to the tapes. The motions described herein may not <br />necessarily represent a verbatim transcription. Agenda items are presented in numerical order, according to the Agenda for the meeting. Tape <br />numbers and approximate locations are identified for the beginning and end of each agenda item. <br /> <br />These tapes are available for listening at the CWCB during regular office hours. Arrangements to make copies of the tapes or written <br />transcripts of specific agenda items may be made at the requestor's expense. Notes from the meeting for identification of times and tapes for specific <br />agenda items can also be reviewed at the CWCB offices. <br />2Yoting tallies are based on members present for voting. Members recusing themselves are identified.
