Lile, P.E. <br />Director, eWeB <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board Members <br /> <br />WilliamP.Stanton,P.E. \~~... <br />Chief, Project Planning and 't~~~truction Section <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />November 16, 1998 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item 26b, November 23-24, 1998 Board Meeting - <br />Annual Construction Fund Appropriations BiII- Non-Reimbursable Projects <br />Satellite Monitoring System Maintenance <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The Division of Water Resources has requested $120,000 from the Construction Fund in FY <br />99-00 to continue the program to renovate stream gaging stations and replace Data Collection <br />Platforms (DCPs) in the old satellite monitoring system. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />This request is for the sixth year of a ten year program to replace 150 DCPs initiated in 1993. <br />Most of the money ($85,000) is used to replace DCPs and the rest ($35,000) is used to renovate <br />existing stream gaging stations. The details of this year's program are explained in the attached <br />memo from Jim McDanold dated November 16, 1998. <br />
