Pinon Mesa Ranches Communitv Association - Rural Raw Water Svstem Construction

This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distribution
system in La Plata County west of Ignacio. The project consists of construction of a concrete
diversion structure and pump station at the Florida River, a transmission pipeline from the diversion
to a storage impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 feet of distribution pipeline
from the storage impoundment to the water users. RMI Environmental Services of Farmington,
New Mexico prepared the project design. Project cQnstruction commenced September 2, 1997 by
RMI Environmental Services of Farmington, New Mexico (a designlbuild contractor). The project
is currently 70% complete and continues to be on indefinite hold due to and financial problems.

This project is the construction of a Native Aquatic Species Restoration Facility just west of
Alamosa. The project is being managed and 60% funded by the Division of Wildlife. FishPro, Inc.
of Port Orchard, Washington completed project design and construction contract documents. The
construction contract was awarded to Southwest Contracting, Inc. of Cortez July 16, 1999.
Construction commenced in August 1999 with completion scheduled for June 2000.

Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Companv - Summit Reservoir and Ditch Svstem Rehab.

Terms of Loan: $200,000 @ 3.75% for 30 years

County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez
Project Yield: 4,287 ac.ft.
Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab.

This project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the
construction of repairs and improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water
collection and distribution facilities. The Cortez office of the Natural Resource Conservation
Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. Construction for the second to the last
phase of improvements commenced in March by Noland, Inc. of Mancos, CO. and was completed
in July. The phase of improvements is scheduled for completion in the fall of2000.
