We anticipate completion of the Fortune Reservoir feasibility study very <br />soon, clearing the way for a $10 million dollar loan to the Consolidated Mutual Water Co. <br /> <br />Conservation Planning Program <br /> <br />Drought Conditions: The Colorado <br />Drought Task Force met on August 18 to <br />access water supply conditions and drought <br />potential statewide. The Surface Water <br />Supply Index (SWSI) as of August I, 1999 <br />ranged from a low of +0.4 in the Yampa- <br />White basin to +3.0 in the South Platte River <br />basin. The SWSI considers stream flow, <br />reservoir storage, and precipitation. <br /> <br />A 1999 U.S. Drought Map was <br />published by the National Drought <br />Mitigation Center in July.
