Mr, Vandemoer moved that the Board ratify the Statement of
Opposition filed on its behalf by the Attorney General in case
numbers 1-81CW250, 1-81CW282, and 6-81CW163. Seconded by Mr.
Kroeger, The motion carried with one nay vote by Mr. Johnston.

Mr. Jencsok then called the Board's attention to the
objections filed against the Board's filings in 2 cases, see
Appendix I, as an information item,

Concerning agenda item 19, there was no representative of
the engineering consulting community present to offer comments on
the Board's procedure, so the matter was not discussed.

The Board then returned to item 17 concerning floodplain
designations, (See Appendix J.) Mr. Walker reported that all
are routine reports except for 17f on Dad Clark Gulch. Mr.
Johnston moved approval of 17, a, b, c, d, and e. Seconded by
Mr, Furneaux, Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Item 17f was discussed as a new unique situation that needs
further review in cooperation with the State Engineer. The
issue is whether the structures involved are dams, Mr, Johnston
moved that item 17f be deferred, Seconded by Mr. Furneaux.
Carried by unanimous voice vote.

Mr, Walker then reported on recent staff promotions. He
indicated that Mr. William Stanton is now assistant section chief
in the floodplain program, and that Mr, Danny C, Merriman is now
assistant section chief in the hydrologic investigations
section, Mr. Jackson congratulated them both on behalf of the
Board.

Mr. Jackson declared the meeting adjourned at 11: 44 a ,m,
