CRAWFORD:

tl33

"Dean Crawford may we have your re-
port. "

"At the last meeting there was some
discussion as to travel by the staff
and members of the Board. At this time
I would like to call your attention to
this item and also the expense involved
in that travel. (See Appendix C).

I should like to take a little time
and go into this matter of the inter-
agency committees so there will be no
misunderstanding insofar as the new
members of the Board are concerned. (See
Appendi xC) .

I would like also to spend a minute or
two on the matter of the filling of Glen
Canyon Dam, and the press releases in con-
nection with this. (See Appendix C).

To go back to this travel - you will
find a sheet in your folder giving in some
detail the manner in which the money for
travel was spent. At the present time we
have a balance of $3,838.66, this being
less than half of the amount originally
appropriated.

That constitutes the Director's re-
port. "

"I have one question and it is purely
an accounting one - isn't there a fund for
the payment of the expenses of the Colorado
Commissioner of the Upper Colorado River
Commission?"

"No, there is not."

~It seems to me that should be looked
into. There is an appropriation for the
Upper Colorado River Commission and it
doesn't seem right that the expense for
the Commissioner should come out of the
Board's funds."

"I should like to state, as I remember
