PETERSON:

MR. !.IOSES:

like to be advised as soon as possi-
ble so they can make the necessary
arrangements to be present.."

I

"I would like the Board to wora
a telegram to the Interior Department
requesting this extension, send it
over to me and I will take it from
there."

"If there is no objection I will
ask Mr. Sparks and the Director to
work out that telegram.

Is there anything else to come
before the Board?"

"I would still like to present a
recommendation to our Commissioner that
an attempt be made to restrict the de-
velopment of the participating projects
to 50% in each of the four states. He said Our
job is to find out what we want in this State and in what
order and then sit down with the representati'ves of the
other three Upper Basin States and at that time present
the fact that Colorado gives the most water. When asked
what projects were schedu]ed to come up in the next Con-
gress, Governor McNichols replied that two participating
projects would be pushed, the Vernal and the Paonia for
appropriations.

I
