<br />. LARGEMOUTH BASS: 37 fish, 14 kept and 23 released, 18.24 inches. No one water was outstanding for bass, .
<br />but small ponds. as well as Pueblo and Bonny produced nice fish.

<br />. RAINBOW TROUT: 34 fish, 15 kept and 19 released, 24.29 inches. Spinney Mountain, II-mile and Antero
<br />reservoirs were top lakes, with the Fryingpan, Taylor and Gunnison being the top rivers.
<br />
<br />. NORTHERN PIKE: 31 fish, 28 kept and nine released, 36-42 inches. II.mile Reservoir yielded the most fish,
<br />followed by Williams Fork, Bonny and Spinney reservoirs.
<br />
<br />. CHANNEL CATFISH: 20 fish, 13 kept and seven released, 30-38 inches. Pueblo Reservoir produced the
<br />greatest number of award-winning fish.
<br />
<br />. YELLOW PERCH: 17 fish, five kept and 12 released, 12.13 inches. Chatfield Reservoir, with seven entries,
<br />was the leading producer of perch.
<br />
<br />. BROWN TROUT: 16 fish. 10 kept and six released, 22.38 inches. The largest, a 38.inch monster from the
<br />Colorado River, set a new released record for the state. No one water produced more than one trophy
<br />. brown trout in 1998.

<br />. LAKE TROUT: 16 fish, 10 kept and six released, 33.43 inches. None set a state release record. Blue Mesa,
<br />Granby, Taylor and Turquoise reservoirs produced all the lake trout.
<br />
<br />. CUTTHROAT TROUT: 13 fish, seven kept and six released, 20.25 inches. Spinney Reservoir and the South
<br />Platte River were the top producers.
<br />
<br />. SMALLMOUTH BASS: Nine fish, two kept and seven released, 17.18 inches. Chatfield, Horsetooth, and
<br />Pueblo reservoirs were top producers.

<br />. SAUGEYE: Nine fish, nine kept and none released, 24-27 inches. The new state record for weight was a 6 lb.
<br />1402. fish, which like all the others came from John Martin Reservoir.

<br />. KOKANEE SALMON: Eight fish, six kept and two released, 20.25 inches. All kokanee submitted for awards
<br />came from 1 I.mile Reservoir or the South Platte River above the lake.

<br />. CARP: Eight fish, one kept and seven released, 32-37 inches. The 37-inch fish set a new released fish record
<br />and came from Boyd Lake.
<br />
<br />. GRASS CARP: Six fish, two kept and four released, 30-41 inches. A 33.5.inch fish from a fann pond in
<br />Boulder Co. set a new released fish record.
<br />
<br />. BLUEGILL: Five fish, one kept and four released, 10.11.75 inches. A fish from a Logan Co. fann pond set a
<br />new released fish record. Valco ponds nears Pueblo produced several fish.

<br />. BROOK TROUT: Five fish. three kept and two released, 16.22 inches. The Fryingpan River yielded the most
<br />brook trout award catches.

<br />. CRAPPIE: Five fish, four kept and one released, all were 15 inches. No state release record was set. Most of the
<br />entries came from small fann ponds.

<br />. BLACK BULLHEAD: Three fish, one kept and two released, 15-17.5 inches. All came from Valco ponds, with
