Floodplain Designation and Approvals

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This Agenda Item includes 7 floodplain studies/maps proposed for CWCB action. A brief
summary of the studies is presented below.

L FPR 98-472: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), City of Westminster, Colorado, Adams and
Jefferson Counties, dated September 30, 1988, was prepared by FEMA. The study' includes
approximate and detailed floodplain information for streams in the community.

2. FPR 98-473: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), City of Westminster, Colorado, Adams and
Jefferson Counties, revised April 2, 1991, was prepared by FEMA. The study includes
approximate and detailed floodplain information for streams in the community. It revises the
1988 study to reflect some marnnade changes to certain floodplains in the community.

3. FPR 98-474: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), City of Westminster, Colorado, Adams and
Jefferson Counties, revised May 17, 1993, was prepared by FEMA. The study includes
approximate and detailed floodplain information for streams in the community. It revises the
1991 study to reflect some marnnade changes to certain floodplains in the community and to
reflect additional floodprone areas added to the city through annexation.

4. FPR 98-475: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR), dated November 1998, including Flood
Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), dated March 1980, was prepared by the CWCB for Clear
Creek County (unincorporated areas). The study includes approximate floodplain information
for streams in the county.
