Somc removal may need to occur during razorback spawning. This item will
be more fully detailcd in the CDOW Fisheries Management Plan.

.

IV.A.l.b.(l) Stock razorback suckers,

Razorback suckers will be stocked into the Colorado River in accordance with approved
stocking plans and the Genetics Managcxi1ent Plan.

IV.A.2,a.(2) Develop and implement augmenrotion plan for razorback suckers above Palisade,

Razorback suckers will be stocked in accordance with approved stocking plans and thc
Genetics Management Plan. .

IV.1\.2.b,(2) Develop and implement augmcntatlon plan for Colorado squawfish above Palisade.

Colorado squawfish will bc stocked anellor transplanted into thc Colorado River above
Palisade in accordancc with approved stocking plans and the Genetics Managemcnt Plan.

V. Monitor Populations and Habitat and conduct research to support recovery actions.

Monitoring of fish status will continue IJJ1til fish are delisted

.

Reinitiation LanlV1age

Reini tiation of this programmatic opinion may occur when:

a) The amount or extent of "take" specified in the incidcntal take statement for this
opinion is excecded. The implemcntation of the RP A elements decreases the likelihood
of any take associated with these depletion impacts occurring, Individual incidenrol take
statements will be included in biological opinions for projects covered undcr thiS'
programmatic opinion,

b) For this opiniOl1, new information that may result in reinitiation of consultation
includes a significant decline in population levels in excess of normal variations as
determined through the Interagency Standardized Monitoring Program and that the
decline was related to depletions. A technique for defining normal variations in
population will be developed in accordance with this biological opinioll. The Service
retains authority to detcIIlline if the pOpulation have declined, but will seek input from the
Program's Biology Commi1tec. Prior to reinitiation of individual projects, Recovery
Program actions will be tnken to correct the decline. If reinitiation is required for

8

.
