<br />FPR 203 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 7, 1983 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Gingery Associates, In<::., under contract with the <br />Federal Insurance Administration completed in January, 1979, the <br />"Flood Insurance Study, City of Fort Collins, Colorado," which <br />included Dry Creek: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the City of Fort Collins, by resolution No. 139 adopted May <br />18, 1979, approved and designated the floodplains described in <br />said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report ent i tled "Major Drainageway Planning, <br />Dry Creek, Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado," dated April, <br />1980, has been prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and informat ion for the storm and floodwater runof f channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County <br />and the City of Fort Collins have requested the Colorado Water <br />Conseevation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesa id report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />128 <br />res (203) <br />
