Warner Point Dam

No investigation has been done at the Warner Point Dam site; therefore, the
proposed program is designed to gain a general understanding of the founda-
tion and adequacy of construction materials, and to enable a determination
of the feasibility of the rollcrete dam proposed in the study.

Drilling - Six holes, approximately 200 feet deep, will be drilled along the
centerline, two on each abutment and two in the river bottom, to determine
depth and nature of bedrock. Borehole water pressure tests will be conducted
at appropriate intervals to provide information on foundation permeability.

Backhoe - A sufficient number of test pits will be opened with a backhoe to
prove out adequate quantities of COncrete aggregate in the river bottom.

Seismic Refraction - A survey will be made of the river bottom and left abut-
ment which, when correlated with borings, will enable construction of top of
bedrock contours.

Materials Testing - Gravel samples obtained from test pits will be tested
for adequacy as concrete aggregate.

Surveying and Engineering - Same as for Avery.

3
