final. We would rather ask the question of
the trout, 'Is this water too hot?', before
it dies. We know it's too hot when that
happens. But if we can put a recording device
or a monitoring device in the stream, and we
feel we have it at a point now where we will
be breaking through on this very shortly, that
we will be able to put this device in and if
the fish is responding, perhaps they can tell
US on a graph just exactly when it is too hot,
when it's too cold and what the other problems
may be.

Perhaps this seems just a little bit too
spectacular; perhaps it seems a little bit un-
reasonable. But ten years ago we didn't think
that man would be heading for the moon, and
there are many, many other things that we
didn't think would be reasonable ten years ago.
We hope that within the next few years we can
develop this, we can test it, maybe we have
nothing but at least it is a type of signal
that as far as communications is brand new,
it's exciting, and believe me, we are going to
work on it.

the Firehole River a few years ago and evi-
dently was in the wrong layer because I did

the Firehole is full of big, brown trout. 1
took two in that winter, one nine pounds and
one seven pounds. So We know they are there.
Another factor here we won't get into at this
stage, and that is on this business of fly
fishing only versus the ability to catch big
