Does anyone have any questions or
comments they would like to make on Dr.
Sunada's presentation?"

I

"In what section of the state do you plan
the infiltration studies?"

"Right now it is on a developmental basis
and we have no plans to pick any certain area
to study.

Any other questions?"

"The next project deals with fish in streams
and biota. Dr. Harold Hagen, Department of
Fish and Wildlife Biology."

"Thank you, Dr. Evans. Ladies and gentle-
men, I know that there are three speakers to
follow and we were supposed to be limited to
approximately five minutes so I will go as
rapidly as I can through the project that I am
concerned with.

My field, as Dr. Evans has mentioned, is
fisheries. Obviously without water, I have no
profession. So I am terribly interested in
all aspects of water, primarily water quality,
and much of the research that I have been doing
here at c.s.u. is in relationship to water
quality criteria and water quality as it affects
stream biota and especially as it affects
fishes. In brief summary, or in a capsule form,
the interest that I developed in one of the major
projects that has been funded by OWRR was in-
stigated during a winter stay in Yellowstone
National Park where I was a member of the
research group, NSF and State University of
New York Atmospheric Science Research team. We
were in there for two years and I was able at
that time to start some preliminary work on the
thermal pollution problems in a natural body of

I
