SPARKS:

"Are there any further questions or comments?
If not, Mr. Douglas, we certainly appreciate
the time of you and your staff in explaining
this problem to us. It has been very interest-
ing and I think, in the future, will be very
profitable."

I

MR. DOUGLAS:

"I might add that if any of you gentlemen
would like to visit our office, we are at the
Federal Center in Denver and you are most
welcome at any time you care to come. Thank
you. II

MR. SPARKS:

"We are very pleased today to enjoy the
hospitality of Colorado State University. In
the last ten years particularly, this Univer-
sity has grown by leaps and bounds and has now
become a recognized leader in the United States
in research, both basic and applied, in the
field of natural resources. One of our primary
purposes for meeting here today was to learn
something about the University's expanded pro-
gram and to tour some of the facilities. The
gentleman who has been in charge of the arrange-
ments here today is Dr. Evans of the University,
Director of the Natural Resources Center. Dr.
Evans, we would like to call upon you at this
time. II

DR. EVANS:

"Members of the Board, Mr. Sparks, and
guests and representatives of the state and
federal agencies, and others, it is a very real
pleasure for us to have you hold your meeting
here today and give us this opportunity to
present briefly to you some of the research
programs related to water. In the afternoon
we will look forward to taking you through
some of the research facilities here. As Mr.
Sparks has just mentioned, we have grown by
leaps and bounds. I think if you haven't been
here for a year, you could get lost and you'll
be surprised at what you do see.

I
