* The feasibility study required under the bill may exceed $1,250,000. The fiscal note assumes that
if the amount to condnct the study exceeds this amount, the Department of Natural Resources
(DNR) will seek additional funding through the annual budget/supplemental process.

Summary of Legislation

The bill includes the following provisions:

. requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to solicit proposals and
recommend to the General Assembly by December 15, 2002, the development
of a water supply project consisting of integrated water infrastructure facilities
that will result in the delivery of water to the eastern and western slopes;
