<br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING <br />Rm. 330 State Office Building <br />Denver 2, Colorado <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />January 17, 1962 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Stapleton <br />at 10:00 A. M. <br /> <br />MR. STAPLETON: "Gentlemen, we will call this regular meet- <br />ing of the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />order. ~tt. Owens is representing Mr. Whitten at <br />this meeting, and we have a proxy from Mr. Peterson <br />recognizing Judge Dan Hugl1es of Montrose as his <br />alternate or proxy. In conformity with our past <br />practice, is there any objection to these proxies <br />at this meeting? Rearing none, we will welcome Mr. <br />Owens and Judge Hughes. <br />The first order of business is the approval <br />of the minutes of our last regularly scheduled <br />meeting on November 8, 1961, a copy of which has <br />already been furnished members of the Board. <br />Were there any additions or corrections to these <br />minutes? If not, I'll entertain a motion that <br />they be approved as submitted." <br /> <br />JUDGE CONOUR: "I so move." <br /> <br />MR. Me CANDLESS: "Second." <br /> <br />MR. STAPLETON: "It has been regularly moved and seconded <br />that the minutes of the November 8, 1961, meeting <br />of the Board be approved. All in favor will <br />signify by saying 'aye'; opposed - the minutes <br />are approved. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I'd like now to call on Frank Bell who <br />has an announcement. Frank, would you put it <br />in the record up here, please?" <br /> <br />MR. BELL: <br /> <br />"Thanks, Ben. Gentlemen, I want to announce <br />to the Board the appointment of a new District <br />Engineer to succeed Wally Miller who has been <br />transferred to Washington. The new appointee <br />is John W. Odell who has had some 25 years ex- <br />perience with th.e G~ological Survey and whose <br />most recent assign:~,,;:'::' waf! as District Engineer <br />in the State of Maryland.
