I

I

Mr. Fischer: Well, 1 think that is up to you.

Mr. StaEleton: All right, let's say we will leave it open until
April 1 .

Mr. Fischer: Okay.

Mr. Stapleton: So, we w.ill keep the record open for any
you and others that subsequently appear at this meeting.
have some questions of Mr. Fischer.

Mr. Cornelius: Rolly, under your request for funding you have two items
in fiscal year 1976 and the transition quarter. For those who don't
understand what that is, would you please explain the "transition
quarter"?

statement from
Now, you may

Mr. Fischer: As I understand it, Mr. Cornelius, the federal government
is in the process of changing the fiscal year to October 1, instead of
July 1. And in this transition period of changing the fiscal year,
the funding requirements of the fiscal year necessarily mUst include
that three-month period in there, and that is the transition quarter.
That is the reason we have that in here.

Mr. Sherman: It would be helpful from my standpoint perhaps following
this meeting - with respect to many of the projects you have mentioned
that do not appear in the budget, if you could present to us some
material and background on those projects to give me a better under-
standing of the scope of the projects and the purposes of the project,
those sorts of things, the Upper Mesa Project, the Gunnison Project,
and so on.

I don't think we have any materials with us today, ~nd I would like to
have the information, it would be helpful to have, in order to assist
us in making some decisions.

Mr. Fische~ i I'll be happy to do that, and I wonder if I might handle
it in detafl over the phone.

Mr. Shermari: That will be fine.

Mr. Stapleton: We should have, in our file in Denver, documentation
on these projects.

Mr. Sherman: One further question. Is it the position of the Colorado
Water District that the Savery-Pot Hook Project remain one hundred per-
cent irrigation?

Mr. Fischer: Yes. The project should be constructed as it was autho-
rized by Congress in the Feasibility Report, that is the position of
my Board.
