was probably mistitled. With a relatively small amount of timely
revision the Upper Gunnison Project will meet the projected water
requirements within the Upper Gunnison Water Conservancy District and
the project does have a water supply reserved within the Curecanti
Project.

We further request that the Board support the Upper Gunnison District and I
the River District in their opposition to renewed proposals for trans-
version from the Gunnison River Basin.

Battlement Mesa Pro~ect - A proposed Regional Director's Report was
completed in June 1 67 but no action has been taken since then.

Bluestone Project - A proposed Regional Director's Report was completed
in August 197r-DUt no action has been taken since then.

Middle Park Proj~ - Several reconnaissance studies have been completed
including the CTILff's Divide Report of 1954. Feasibility level inves-
tigations have not yet been initiated.

We request the opportunity to submit additional comments that we later
determine to be pertinent if the record is to be left open for a reason-
able period of time.

We welcome the Board's questions.

Mr. Stapleton: Thank you, Mr. Fischer.

According to our ground rules I would like to at this time introduce
Pat Schroeder, the Congressional Representative of the :City of Denver.
Pat, we appreciate your attendance here, and I would like to hear from
you at this time.

Mrs. Schroeder: Well, I feel badly to come and run, but we have four
subcommittee meetings, starting at ten o'clock. But I think it's
terrific that everyone is here, having an opportunity to get together
and decide what you are going to do, and where we are going. I think
everyone knows that dollars are tight, and nobody is quite sure what
the next year is going to bring. But I think this is a marvelous
opportunity to get together, talk to the people that represent you, talk
to people who don't, and figure out where we are going.

I'm glad the sun came out while you are here - we can say you brought
it here - and if we can help, call at the office any time. Thank you.
I'm sorry I have to leave, but we do have a frantic day. I see you
are in good hands here with Wayne.

Mr. Stapleton: Thank you very much, Pat.

Bill Cleary is here from Congressman Johnson's office, we are delighted
to have you with us.

Rolly, how long do you want the record open on this meeting?

I

-12-
