The manual
will help flood managers statewide to map and designate flood hazard areas, determine streams
susceptible to severe erosion and bank instability, identify flood mitigation measures, prepare
floodplain management plans, and assist local commUnities to establish consistent guidelines and
criteria regarding flood related engineering standards. An RFP has been advertised, and
consultant selection will occur by the end of January 2001. This is approximately a one year
contract.

CWCB Internet Flood Palle and Flood Task Force i
Authorization: FY 2001 Grant Amount: $10,000
Water Source: N/ A Project Type: Flood Control
Location: Statewide Project Manager: Carolyn Fritz

The Flood Task Force is made up of 15 federal, state and private sector meteorology and
hydrology experts who contribute to an annual Colorado Flood Outlook.
