Proicct Dcscription

In May of 1999 a 1100d event originating in the local hasin overtopped Model Reservoir's
existing outlet conduit. damaging the oUllet gate tower. the dam embankment, and causing
downstream property damagc. The emergency improvements. designed hy URS Greiner. of
Denver. Colorado, consisted of constructing a I1CV./ outlet tower and conduit, repairing lhc Jum
cmhankmcnt, placing grouted rip rap in the outlet works stilling hasin, the construction of a cast-in-
place concrete parapet wall. and the installation of water level and cJischarge recording devices.
The total cost of the project = S7RO.O(K).
