the Colorado River Water Conservation District
was very pleased to host this meeting of the
Colorado water conservation Board. We have
quite a busy week end. One place that I have
been this morning is over to the Legislative
Committee meeting. You can't be two places
at once but we did invite them to join you at
lunch today and I think quite a few of them
will be here.

I

Immediately following this meeting, at 12
o'clock, the District Board - that is, the
Colorado River water Conservation District
Board - has arranged for a luncheon for this
Board and guests in the room just at the east
end of the lobby; a small dining room there.
Following that luncheon at about 1:15 you are
invited to embark on buses to make a trip up to
the Ruedi Dam site. I imagine that a short
stop will be made up there and then, on your
returning route. you will be driven over a part
of the Basalt Project area. You know the Basalt
Project is a feature of, really, the Ruedi
development so that it is the most logical place
to use Ruedi Reservoir water here in western
Colorado for agricultural purposes.

Then tomorrow there will be the groundbreak-
ing ceremonies. Proceeding that the Southeastern
District and certain entities over here in
western Colorado interested in water resources
development have arranged a barbecue to which
you are cordially invited. The barbecue starts
at 12 o'clock and the groundbreaking ceremonies
at 1:30.

There is only one member 9f my. Board here and
that is Bill stevens from Eagle. Would you
stand up, Bill? Bob Delaney has told me that
he would be here for the luncheon, he and his I
wife; and Allen Brown and his wife, I know,
will be here tomorrow. Also Amos Horn is in
town but I think he is attending the Legislative .
meeting.

That about clears up the program that has
been arranged for you. vie certainly bope that
