The first deliveries of irrigation water to
the Arkansas Valley will probably be in 1972.
Now you say, why the difference between 1969
and 1972? It largely stems from the fact that
we have to accumulate a sufficient storage of
project water in our reservoirs in order that
we can assure continued operations of the power
system. The first power generation on the east
slope power system will be in 1971. We'll put
that water in Pueblo Reservoir ready for re-
lease to the irrigators in 1972.

I am sure I have used up as much time as
I should. I would be happy to answer any
questions if there should be any. Thank you
very much."

maybe we can all stay here for it. It is the
Silt Project. Bob, are you going to handle
that, please?"

MR. JENNINGS;

IIHr. Chairman, members of the Board, ladies
and gentlemen, it has been asked that I give a
review of the silt Project. I don't think this
project has been explained to your Board pre-
viously. I have one general comment every time
I talk about the silt Project and that is, for
Pete's sake, let's not name another project
, sil t': We have here a pretty nice stream,
it's not a bad actor in comparison with many
that we have and that name has represented
somewhat of a handicap in the review and raises
a number of questions along the line here. If
we can name them 'Crystal', 'Clear Fork' or
something like that it is easier and better.
