on tunnel work next spring will include the
Fryingpan-Arkansas Tunnel, 5-3/10's miles long;
will include the tunnel from the Fryingpan to
the South Fork; and include the tunnel from the
South Fork to Chapman Gulch; making a total
length of about 12 miles of tunnel work that
we expect to issue the specifications on in
March next year, 1965, and get an award in
Hay, 1965.

I

Turquoise Lake, on the east slope, the
first reservoir here (pointing) will follow
shortly thereafter. vIe expect to issue that
specification in July, 1965, with an award in
September, 1965.

We will be continuing studies on Twin L~(es
and on the east slope power system to determine
the final design for this large reservoir and
for this power system. That will follow in
subsequent years.

A significant item of work involved is at
Pueblo Reservoir where we have the main line of
the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad to
be relocated. Our studies are under way there
now. We have surveyors actively surveying re-
locating the alignment and grade of that road
and we will be doing drilling and testing yet
this summer on that particular work. t'/'e hope to
have a contract awarded for the relocation of
that railroad in July, 1966, and, of course, the
railroad has to be out of the way before we
build the reservoir so the darn contract will be
awarded in the spring of 1968. It will take us
about two years of time to get that railroad
sufficiently relocated so that the darn contractor
can get in there and work.

Our first diversions under this program,
of waters from the west slope will be made in
1969. That will not be complete diversions but
it will include diversions from the first
features that we get under construction and will
involve such diversions as may be made from the
South Fork, from the Chapman Gulch, and possibly

I
