give us some indication of what modifications
and improvements could be made and incorporated
into this project investigation.

The report on the Trinidad project is
ready to go to the printers, or is in the bands
of the printers by now. We had a review with
members of your staff and Mr. ROss, an attorney
for the conservancy district, last week and we
explained to them the findings and the problems
that lie ahead of us in developing a repayment
contract and getting the Bureau's part of the
project under way to the point where the Corps'
construction can proceed in an orderly fashion.
We see, presently, no problems in having our
part of the work done so that the Corps could
initiate construction next spring or early
summer when the construction season opens.
However, we do have a lot of work to be done
on this project and we will need help from mem-
bers of the Board and all other participants
in this activity.

Additional funds in the amount of $7,000
were furnished by the Board for the Upper Platte
River studies. He are in the process of prepar-
ing a letter-type report which will give you
information on the Two Forks Reservoir with a
capacity of approximately one million acre-feet
to be constructed in the Platte Canyon above
Waterton. There is an afterbay facility that
might be desirable below this reservoir to re-
regulate power discharges and an offstream
reservoir at the Box Elder Creek site below
Denver for the possible conservation of return
flows below the metropolitan area. ~'le hope to
have this report available for your information
sometime the latter part of August.

The Appraisal Report on the Green Mountain
Afterbay has been completed and forwarded to
the Commissioner's office for review.

The spillway modifications at Granby are
progressing satisfactorily and the contractor
expects to be placing concrete by August so this
