That the Board approve the recommendations contained in <br />Paragraph 14, (a) to (h), inclusive, under "IV - Findings and <br />Conclusions" of this report, and, vTithin the limits of its functions <br />and in collaboration with affected local interests, aid in effectuating <br />such recommendations, which are as follows: <br /> <br />(a) The use of Taylor Park Reservoir and the integration <br />of its operation vuth that of the ~roposed Curecanti and C~Jstal <br />Reservoirs should be accomplished in the manner, and for the <br />purposes, set forth in Paracraph 9 of Section IV - "Findings <br />and Conclu.sions" of this report. <br /> <br />I, <br /> <br />(b) That a committee be appointed by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board, consisting of one representative from <br />the Bureau of Reclamation, one representative of the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board, one repl~sentative of ~ach of the <br />Boards of County Conmissioners of Gunnison, Montrose, Delta <br />and Mesa Counties, to study and detemine ",hat losses in,. <br />tax returns, if any, will be suffercd by any of such counties, <br />or ~leir legal tax collecting sun~ivisions, occasioned by or <br />arising from the construction of storage facilities in the <br />Gunnison River Basin, and to explore and recommend ways and <br />means for recoupment of such tax losses. <br /> <br />(c) In the use of water in the Upper Gunnison River <br />. Basin, under Federal Reclamation Project. development, the <br />applications of the land limitation provisions of the Federal <br />Reclamation laws be modified to correspond ruth economic, <br />climatic, and agricultural conditions in the area. <br /> <br />(d) D.'mers of fishing resorts, homes and other property <br />presently located along the Gunnison River in Gunnison County <br />on land which ,rill be' inundated by reservoir storace, be given <br />the preferential pri'THege to occupy sui table tracts on lands <br />acquired by the Governrr.ent bordering, or' adjacent to the pro- <br />posed reservoirs, subject to obseFVance of the conditions set <br />forth in ?aragra~h 13 (c), (1), (2) and (3) of this report. <br /> <br />(e) Land armers dis~ossessed because of inundation by <br />Gunnison River Storage be given a ~refercnce status to relo- <br />cate on public lands in the Upper Gunnison i(iver Basin under <br />~articipe.tinc projects, Coloraao ;Qver Storage Project, nhich <br />11ay be constructed, subject to preference granted by federal <br />law to TIar veterans. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />(f) That the Bureau of ?.echmation conplete its studies, <br />surveys and investigations of Darticirating projects in the <br />G~~ison River BaSin, under the Colorado River St~race Froject <br />Plan, at as early a date as possible, in connection yrith de- <br />tailed surveys for the Gunnis~n River Storace units. <br />
