<br />68 <br /> <br />give further consideration to the plan for storage on the Gunnison <br />River, as a unit of the Colorado River Storage Project, after <br />conferences regarding the report had been held with the Bureau of <br />Reclamation, the Policy and Review Committee be not discharged in <br />order that it may undertake, if necessary, further work in the <br />matter; and that the Board extend its thanks and appreciation <br />to the Committee for the work it has performed and its excellent <br />report. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On vote being taken, the motion was unanimously carried, the <br />motion declared adopted and the report accepted and approved qy the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />Members of the POlicy and ReView Committee who were present when <br />its report was considered were R. M. Gildersleeve, Jean S. Breitenstein, <br />F. M. Peterson, George Cory, Wayne Seaman for the Colorado Game and <br />Fish Department, and Clifford H. Stone. F. M. Peterson of Delta and <br />George Cory of Montrose made brief statement s concerning the report and <br />storage on the Gunnison River as a unit of the Colorado River Storage <br />Project. <br /> <br />Director Stone, as Chairman of the Policy and Review Committee, stated <br />that he wished to express his personal appreciation for the attitude and <br />the work of the members of that Committee; that it had been a difficult <br />task and that the members of this Committee, in his opinion, had satis- <br />factorily accomplished desirable results in the interests of the State <br />of Colorado. <br /> <br />After discussion of further procedure in relation to the plan of <br />storage on the Gunnison River, as a part of the Colorado River Storage <br />Project, the Director was requested to discuss the repo~ of the Ib1icy <br />and Review Committee and the plan therein recommended by that Collllllittee <br />and approved by the Board with appropriate officials of the fureau of <br />Reclamation and report back' to the 'Board. Such further steps, it was <br />agreed, shot4d be undertaken before the Board considers any revision <br />of its official comments to the Secretary of the Interior on the Colorado <br />River Storage Project. <br /> <br />--;..-' <br />The recommendations contained in the report of the Policy and Review <br />Committee, Gunnison River Storage, approved on-this date by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board, are as follows: <br /> <br />1. . That the Board approve Plan E, more specifically hereinabove <br />described and discussed, for that part of the Colorado River Storage <br />Project which would be accomplished in the Gunnison River BaSin, such <br />Plan E to include, and be limited to, the following storage units: <br /> <br />Curecanti <br />Whitewate:r:- <br />Crystal <br /> <br />Total Storage <br /> <br />940,000 A.F. <br />880,000 A.F. <br />510,000 A.F. <br />2,330,000 A.F. <br /> <br />Active Stora!le <br />765,000 A.F. <br />470,000 A.F. <br />425,000 A.F. <br />1,660,000 A.F. <br /> <br />I <br />
