DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FY 2002-03 FOUR PERCENT RESTRICTION PLAN Four Line Divisions (Water Resources, Water Conservation, Minerals and Geology, and Parks) with the Executive Director's office (primarily "potted" items) receive General Fund Appropriations. The General Funded Appropriations in H.B. 02-1420 (after the line item vetoes and with adjustments in the Performance Pay line item as a result of S.B. 02-50 and H.B. 02-1038; and the additional Health Life & Dental funds in H.B. 02-1468) are as follows: Executive Director's Office Potted Items Special Purpose - CERCLA Special Purpose - Water Abandonment Appropriation $ 6,447,875 9,030 75,348 Minerals and Geology Minerals $ 370,672 Parks and Outdoor Recreation Established State Parks New State Parks $ 4,231,636 176,056 Water Conservation Board Administration $ 1,312,723 Water Resources Personal Services Operating Expenses Interstate Compacts Satellite Monitoring River Decision Support Systems DEPARTMENTAL TOTAL $14,777,807 739,033 74,762 229,029 159,267 $28,603,238 A four-percent restriction of this General Fund Appropriation equals $1,144,130. In general, the restriction will be achieved primarily through holding vacant positions open. This action will directly result in a correlated reduction of program services, with more specific consequences highlighted below.
