Some minor laterals, drains, and channel stabiliZation will be re- quired. Project water would be delivered for the irrigation of 22,000 acres of full ser- vice and 6,500 acres of supplemental service lands and for 50,000 acre-feet annually for municipal and industrial use in connection with anticipated oil shale developments in the piceance basin. Recreation and fish and wildlife are also project purposes. We anticipate the proposed feasibility report scheduled for completion at the end of this fiscal year will be delayed a few months. preparations are being made to initiate land classification and drainage investiga- tions on the Basalt Project area in the spring. This work will be accomplished with funds contributed by the Basalt Water Conservancy District. I have nothing new to report on the five projects that are presently up for authoriza- tion, the Animas-La Plata, Dolores, Dallas Creek, San Miguel, and West Divide projects. I A field draft of the Fruitland Mesa project, which is an authorized project, definite plan report is under review in this office. Revised feasibility estimates for Soap Park Dam and Reservoir have been received from the Chief Engineer and are being incor- porated into the report. Financial and economic analysis studies are in progress. Draft reports have been received from the Forest Service and the Bureau of Sport Fish- eries and Wildlife. Their evaluations of costs and benefits are being used in economic and financial evaluations of the project. Supplements to the Operation, Maintenance, and Replacement; Project Lands, and Drainage Appen- dices are essentially completed. ~le anticipate
