<br />explorations were completed recently at the <br />Parachute Damsite, an off-stream site located <br />near the confluence of Parachute Creek and <br />the Colorado River. Geologic conditions <br />which developed may require reconsideration <br />of a potential reservoir site on Parachute <br />Creek below the three forks. <br /> <br />On the Grand Mesa project, plan formula- <br />tion studies and water supply studies are in <br />progress. preparation of the project lands <br />and drainage appendices is under way. Aerial <br />topographic maps for Electric Mountain Ser- <br />vice Canal have been completed by the con- <br />tractor. Final payment has been made to the <br />contractor and liquidated damages assessed. <br />A proposed feasibility report is scheduled <br />for completion in F.Y. 1968. <br /> <br />Likewise, plan formulation studies and <br />water supply studies are continuing on the <br />Upper Gunnison project. Land classification <br />and drainage field-work has been completed. <br />Analysis of land classification soil samples <br />has been completed and office tabulations are <br />in progress. A proposed feasibility report <br />is scheduled for completion in F.Y. 1970. <br /> <br />Feasibility designs and estimates for <br />the Yellow Jacket project are being prepared <br />for sections of the Josephine Basin Canal <br />and Yellow Jacket Canal, Milk Creek Canal, <br />Lost Park collection system, and project <br />laterals. Assembly of design data for other <br />project features is in progress. The project <br />Lands Appendix is completed and the Drainage <br />Appendix is essentially completed. Prepara- <br />tion of the plan Formulation, Water Supply, <br />and Agricultural Economy Appendices is con- <br />tinuing. <br /> <br />The Yellow Jacket project, as now planned, <br />would include storage at Lost Park arid 'Ripple <br />Reservoir sites in the White River drainage <br />and Thornburgh Reservoir site located on Milk <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />
