explorations were completed recently at the
Parachute Damsite, an off-stream site located
near the confluence of Parachute Creek and
the Colorado River. Geologic conditions
which developed may require reconsideration
of a potential reservoir site on Parachute
Creek below the three forks.

On the Grand Mesa project, plan formula-
tion studies and water supply studies are in
progress. preparation of the project lands
and drainage appendices is under way. Aerial
topographic maps for Electric Mountain Ser-
vice Canal have been completed by the con-
tractor. Final payment has been made to the
contractor and liquidated damages assessed.
A proposed feasibility report is scheduled
for completion in F.Y. 1968.

Likewise, plan formulation studies and
water supply studies are continuing on the
Upper Gunnison project. Land classification
and drainage field-work has been completed.
Analysis of land classification soil samples
has been completed and office tabulations are
in progress. A proposed feasibility report
is scheduled for completion in F.Y. 1970.

Feasibility designs and estimates for
the Yellow Jacket project are being prepared
for sections of the Josephine Basin Canal
and Yellow Jacket Canal, Milk Creek Canal,
Lost Park collection system, and project
laterals. Assembly of design data for other
project features is in progress. The project
Lands Appendix is completed and the Drainage
Appendix is essentially completed. Prepara-
tion of the plan Formulation, Water Supply,
and Agricultural Economy Appendices is con-
tinuing.

The Yellow Jacket project, as now planned,
would include storage at Lost Park arid 'Ripple
Reservoir sites in the White River drainage
and Thornburgh Reservoir site located on Milk
