Mr. Stapleton: One of the reasons we had the meeting here is because
we wanted local citizens to make some input. We have had a little input
from John and Si. Are there any other members of the audience who would
like to question these gentlemen from the Park Service who have willingly
submitted themselves to interrogation at this point? I think this is
the best way to clear up some problems you may have. So are there any
questions from any other members of the audience? Would you indentify
yourself by name and maybe come up and use that microphone so we can

Service, we appreciate your presentation. We will look forward with
considerable interest to the final report. I hope we won't have too
many areas of disagreement.

'Mr. Stapleton: Right. Let's turn then to the third item, the status
report on the Lower Yampa and the Savery-Pot Hook projects from the
Bureau. John Sherman. would you like to make a beginning statement on
that please.

~tr. Sherman: First, I want to thank the board for what you have done
for the Lower Yampa project in trying to get this $100,000 each year
for the next two years for us. We are having a problem there, and we
certainly appreciate what you have done and what you are doing. It
seems foolish to shoot that project down when we need energy and water
and we have already spent probably a million dollars there in studies
over the past forty years. And there is some water left here yet.
Just keep up the good work for us, please.
