Mr. Reid: It is still under review. In fact, it hasn't been totally
reviewed in our own regional offices yet. It will be revised further
before it is submitted to Congress. So as soon as it is released by
the Secretary, the document can be made available. Right now it would
not be appropriate, because I am sure there are going to be changes in
it.

~rr. Ford: How much longer does the fishery study have to run? Two
more years?

~rr. Reid: The study that the Bureau is doing?

Mr. Ford: Yes.

Mr. Reid: That would just be starting this year. There have been
studies on the fisheries in the Colorado for a number of years. but
this particular study to determine Yampa River habitat is just getting
under way.

Mr. Berthelson: Will your revised report be circulated to all of the
proper state agencies before submission to the Secretary somewhere
along the line?

trr. Reid: That hasn't been the policy. Draft reports are distributed
for comment and the revised reports should reflect those thoughts and
comments.

~rr. Berthelson: We didn't like the list for the original circulation.
The original report was submitted to the state clearing house. We
thought maybe you missed some important state agencies like the State
Water Conservation Board and others.

fir. Jones: Over 200 copies were sent out. It was probably an oversight
on our part.

!-Jr. Berthelson: I think it is important enough to suggest that these
revised reports get proper circulation.

~rr. Sparks: I am sure that we will get copies of it prior to the time
that Congress actually starts considering the legislation. We will
m~te our comments in sufficient time so that our congressional delega-
tion is advised of the State's attitude in connection with the report.
From what I have heard here today, we may not have too much concern
with the report.

-18-

I

I
