,j~/tl

year are: Cross Creek near Minturn; Crystal
River above Avalance Creek (however, this sta-
tion will not be discontinued. In the past, a
station downstream near Redstone has been financed
in the federal network program and the funds for
that station will be shifted to the upper station
above Avalanche Creek and continue that as a I
network station. The station at Redstone will be
discontinued.); Florida River near Hermosa will
be dropped from the Water Board program with a
good possibility the State Engineer's office
will pick that station up in connection with their
operational efforts after the Lemon Dam has been
completed; Florida River at Bondad; Leopard Creek
near Noel; and Salt Creek near Oxford. Those are
the remaining stations that will be dropped from
the Water Board program. In addition, the sta-
tion on Coal Creek near Plainview in the Boulder
County area will be discontinued. Boulder County
has decided to withdraw from their flood investi-
gation in the Boulder area so that station will
be discontinued as of September 30th.

Since that report was written I have learned
that Cebolla Creek near powderhorn will also be
discontinued as of September 30th and Snake
River at Dillon probably will be dropped when
backwater from the reservoir drowns out the ex-
isting station.

The new stations that will be established
to provide data for Bureau of Reclamation project
investigations are: East River below Cement
Creek, near Crested Butte; North Thompson Creek
near Carbondale; Prine Creek near Carbondale;
Tomichi Creel, at Parlin; West Divide Creek below
11illow Creek, near Raven; and liest Sopris Creek
near Basalt.

The ones established in connection with the
Fryingpan Project, which Mr. Dugan spoke of, are:
Cunningham Creek near Norrie; Fryingpan Creek
near Ivanhoe Lake; Ivanhoe Creek near Norrie;
Lime Creek near Troutville; North Fork Fryingpan
Creek above Cunningham Creek, near Norrie; and
the South Fork Fryingpan Creek at upper station,
near Norrie. Some of these have rather odd names

I
