<br />13 <br /> <br />To address the TABOR issues, perform the river restoration, and facilitate the receipt and <br />disbursement of project funds, the project proponents have begun the process of <br />establishing the Alamosa River Watershed Restoration Foundation, a non-profit entity. <br /> <br />The District has submitted a letter requesting th~ Board's approval to change the recipient <br />of the $300,000 grant from the Alamosa-LaJ,ara Water Conservancy District to the <br />Alamosa River Watershed Restoration Foundation. Because the Alamosa River <br />Watershed Restoration Foundation has not I been formed yet. staff recommends <br />amending the' legislative authorization for this grant to inciude both the District and the <br />Foundation. .! <br /> <br />STAFF ReCOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The staff recommends that the Board approve amending the legislative authorization for <br />this project to add the Alamosa River Watersheq Restoration Foundation as a recipient of <br />the $300,000 grant.
