<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Floodplain Resolution No. 92 <br /> <br />APPENDIX D <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 19, 1978 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L U T r 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, <br />Omaha District, completed in November, 1970, a Flood Plain Informa- <br />tion Report entitled "Flood Plain Information, Volume V, Denver <br />Metropolitan Region, Colorado," which includes Ralston and Leyden <br />Creeks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as <br />requested by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, by resolu- <br />tion adopted January 12, 1971, approved and designated the flood- <br />plains described in said report; and <br /> <br />'WHEREAS~ a new report entitled "Major Drainageway Planning, <br />City of Arvada and Jefferson county, Colorado," dated August, 1977, <br />which includes floodplain information and data for Ralston and Leyden <br />Creeks has been prepared by Wright-McLaughlin Engineers at the . <br />request of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, city of <br />Arvada and Jefferson County, which report updates and revises the <br />previous information for Ralston and Leyden Creeks as prepared by the <br />Corps of Engineers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines" the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water conservatIon Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damage therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br /> <br />APPENDIX D <br />
