Many suggestlons were made by these repre- <br />sentatives of the Board to this committee and a draft of oom- <br />ments recently reoelved by the Dlreotor indlcatee that such <br />suggestlons were largely tollowed. <br />.I!he Presldent's Commlsalon will holii one ot lts oon- <br />terences ln Denver on June 27 and 28, 1950. Mr. Carmody, an <br />advance agent tor the Commlss1on , Was recently ln Denver and <br />oonterredwith the D1rector relative to arrangements tor these <br />cOnferences. The Dlrectorhad been p~eviously requested by <br />the Governor to handle this matter. And in compliance with the <br />request trom the Commission itselt, the Direotor has prepared <br />a llst .of state agencies, various organizations, and individuals <br />interested in the questlon of water policy who will be notitied <br />of exact tlme and plaee of these conterenoes. Slnce that t1me <br />turther suggest10nshave come to the Director and the list 1s <br />being supplemented. <br />"!he purpose of the conferences is to give the Oommission <br />an opportunity to obtain views at the 'grass roots' conoern1ng <br />matters pertaining to national water policies.
