In !i,ddition, Mr. Vance Austin appeared for the State <br />R. E. A. group; George A. Pughe, a member ot this Board and <br />represent1ng that section of the state, made a very good state- <br />ment; Gordon Weller,trom Meeker, was present and Ralph R. <br />White, Who lives at Cra1g, was present, and they made state- <br />Ilents. In all, there were about 25 Witnesses supporting our <br />posl t101\. That oame trom all of the tour states. The oppos1- <br />tion came largely froll Wilderness societies, the National Park <br />Serv1cG, and nature lover organlzatlo1'1s.
