<br />Agency Updates <br /> <br />Re-classification Update: The Department of Personnel and Administration (DP A) has been conducting a <br />System Maintenance Study of the Physical Science and Engineering Occupational Group that includes job <br />classes for most of the CWCB employees, One of the issues being studied was to collapse the Physical <br />Science Researcher/Scientist class (CWCB stafftitles) into the class for Environmental Protection <br />Specialists, The CWCB staff was actively involved in this issue because of the potential impacts to staff <br />recruitment, retention and salary, In early April, DP A determined that the nature of work between the two <br />classes is significantly different, and decided not to consolidate the classes, <br /> <br />As part of this same study, DP A is also reviewing salaries and the need to retain "specialty areas", including <br />the hydrology specialty area, for the job classes, Again, staff has been actively involved in these issues, and <br />expects DP A to release their draft fl11dings around May 10, <br /> <br />Staff Performance Evaluations: Staff performance evaluations and plans are currently being done, If <br />Board members have any comments, now is the best time to provide them to me, <br /> <br />## <br /> <br />29 <br />
