<br />e <br /> <br />Director's Report Attachment - January 23 & 24, Board Meetiug <br />Water Supply Planning and Finance Section <br />Design and Construction Status Report <br /> <br />The CWCB Water Supply Planning and Finance Section has completed 6 projects in FY 01,02, Currently we <br />have 12 projects under construction and 15 projects in the design phase, <br /> <br />The attached spreadsheet summarizes project status including budget, construction schedule, and progress to <br />date, During this current reporting period no projects were completed, <br /> <br />The attached progress report briefly outlines all active project design and construction information and <br />progress to date, <br /> <br />Projects Under Construction <br /> <br />I, Ute Water Conservancv District - Plateau Creek Pipeline <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 88.30 County: Mesa - E of Palisade <br />Water Source: Grand Mesa Drainage Project Yield: 7,200 ac,ft, <br />Terms of Loan: $27,600,000 @ 5% for 30 years Project Type: Pipeline Construction <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />This $55,000,000 project is the replacement of an existing 15,mile pipeline providing water to the Ute Water <br />Conservancy District. The District provides water to 55,000 people, or more than half of the Grand Valley population, <br />Camp, Dresser, & McKee, Inc. of Denver has completed final design and construction contract documents for Phase II <br />of the project. Phase I of the project, placement of the lower 8,000 linear foot of the pipeline, commenced in February <br />by ERS Constructors, Inc, of Sedalia, CO, and was completed in May 1999, Phase II involves the installation of <br />26,000-ft, of 48" waterline pipe, 29,500-ft. of 54" waterline pipe, and the construction of 13,500,ft. of 10' diameter <br />tunnel. A joint venture between Barnard Construction, Inc, of Bozeman, Montana and Affholder Construction, Inc, of <br />Chesterfield, Missouri was awarded the construction contract for Phase II, at a cost of $44,000,000. Construction of <br />Phase II commenced in December 1999 and is approximately 99% complete, The project is tentatively scheduled for <br />completion in February of2002, <br /> <br />2, Consolidated Mutual Water Companv - Fortune Reservoir Dam Construction <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 99,173 <br />Water Source: Clear Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $20,600,000 @5,50% for 10 years <br /> <br />County: Jefferson - NW of Arvada <br />Project Yield: 10,000 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: New Dam Construction <br /> <br />This $30,000,000 project is the construction of a new 9,000 acre, foot reservoir northwest of Arvada, The <br />project consists of a 105-foot high, zoned earth embankment, Probable Maximum Flood emergency spillway, with a <br />30-inch diameter outlet pipe. Tuttle,Applegate, Inc, of Denver and CTLfThompson completed the final design plans, <br />which have been reviewed and approved by the State Engineer's Office, The construction contract was awarded to <br />R,E. Monk from Colorado Springs, Colorado, at a contract price of $15,000,000, The distribution pipeline from the <br />dam to the Company's treatment plant commenced construction in October 1999 by Company forces, R.E, Monk <br />commenced construction in March of 2000, with project completion scheduled for March of 2002, The project is <br />approximately 85% complete, <br /> <br />3. Idaho Springs, Town of Idaho - Idaho Springs Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 98,1189 County: Larimer - S, of Idaho Springs <br />Water Source: Chicago Creek Project Yield: 230 acre feet <br />Terms of Loan: $I,165,000@4,75% for 10 yrs,Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br />
