MR. TALIAFERRO: Yes, sir.

MR. KROEGER: Duane.

MR. HELTON: We have signed copies of this agreement that have been
signed by the Division of Wildlife personnel and 'also the'Division of
Parks and "Recreation and also Harris Sherman.

MR. KROEGER: Does anyone from the Denver Water Board wish to comment?
Mr. Williams. . "

I .. ~.~ . .: .~ ::-..:. _
. '.;, U_", _ _ '"".

MR. WAYNE WILLIAMS: I don't think so. We view:it as a 'favorable and
reasonable agreement for both sides. It is based upon the best
studies that are available of what the conditions are in that Williams
Fork Basin, and we think the state gains considerably from this. We"
will not oppose the claims that are recommended for approval when those
claims are filed. That is part of the agreement.

We do open a stretch of the river above Williams Fork and the land
above the Williams Fork Reservoir and the land we own for fishing,
which should be of considerable benefit,up there.

Of course, the money we will be paying for stream improvement, we
think,: is" a substantial concession' tg:.the: Denver Water'Board, From our
point of view, it provides a reasonable basis upon which we can go
ahead with our collection system.

MR. KROEGER: Are there any questions of Wayne? (No response.)
Thank you, very much.

Duane Helton.

MR. HELTON: I would say one more thing. Grand County hired,Mr. John
Musick to review this Williams Fork situation, and I had a telephone
conversation with him last Friday explaining pretty much what we worked
out. And he said he thought it was a good idea.

MR. MacFARLANE": Duane, one more question just for the record. We
all understand that the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation
recommends approval.

MR. HELTON: That is correct. Like I said, Parks has signed the
agreement.

MR. KROEGER: : It appears to me that we have,--not "we" but the,' various
groups involved have spent a tremendous ari1.ount of time and money and
effort in order to arrive at that, and I am pleased that we have

-6-

I

I
