I

J

it until we get some money frOm Congress under the Small Reclamation
Projects Act. We will try to get some funds to get that project started.

As John said, the Overland people have been fighting this battle for
ten years that I know of; although, we have just now brought it to a
head. When the state finally agreed to put up some funds, then the
federal people started taking a hard look at it. I put $100,000 in my
letter, but I have just found out that the Bureau could spend $386,000
on the Overland Project this coming year. That is the figure we will
shoot for from the loan fund for the Overland Project.

MR. FETCHER: Another prOblem is that they have become so apprehensive
as a result of the Teton Dam failure that, technically, to meet their
requirements, it is a very difficult thing for a small project.

MR. CHAIRMAN: All right. I think that takes care of our business then.

We are going to meet on May 12 and 13, a Friday and a Saturday, at
Montrose. with that, the meeting is adjourned.

MR. SPARKS: I might say that the Montrose meeting on the 13th will be
one of the joyous occasions, one of the few this board has had in recent
years. That is the ground breaking ceremony on the 13th for the Dallas
Creek Project.

MR.
