<br />This county has 16 Designated Floodplain Studies affecting 74 stream reaches. They also participate in the National <br />Flood Insurance Program. The Douglas Wash Floodplain Study has been completed and the Grand Junction Levee <br />project is completed on Colorado River. The Colorado River Letter of Map Revision project is in progress. The <br />Bosley Wash master plan study is proposed and will be partialIy funded by CWCR <br /> <br />MINERAL COUNTY <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board (eWCB) and Division of Water Resources (DWR) <br />Peter Evans, CWCB Director Steve Vandiver, Division Engineer <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 721 422 Fourth Street <br />Denver, CO 80203 P,O, Box 269 <br />(303) 866-3441 Alamosa, CO 8110 I <br />(719)542-3368 <br /> <br />Mineral County is located in the Rio Grande (66%) and San Juan River Basins (33%) and is covered by the Rio <br />Grande Compact, as weII as the Colorado and Upper Colorado River Compacts, The Colorado River Decision <br />Support System (CRDSS) and the Rio Grand Decision Support System cover the county, It is affected by the Rio <br />Grande Project Investigation, the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Fish Species in the San Juan <br />River Basin, and the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Program (respective to the particular basin), The area is <br />also affected by the pending U,S, Forest Service Federal Reserved Water Rights Claims for Water Divisions 7 and 3, <br />respectively. <br /> <br />In this county there is one loan from the CWCB Construction Fund, which was completed in the amount of <br />$357,500. <br /> <br />Water Project Construction Loan Program - Completed Projects by CWCB through FY 1999 <br />Proiect Name Amount Loaned <br />Santa Maria Reservoir Rehabilitation $ 357,500 <br /> <br />The Office of Water Conservation has planned to assist the county with their water conservation and drought plans, <br /> <br />Instream Flow Water Rights appropriated exclusively in this county total 266 miles and 39 stream segments, <br /> <br />Note: In reference to Instream Flow Water Rights, information listed above may not be inclusive of all water rights <br />in a given county since a stream segment may start in one county and end in another. <br /> <br />This county has one Designated Floodplain Study in Creede affecting one stream reach..
