The fIrst grant in the amount of $7,000 to Woodmaor Water and Sanitation for water conservation <br />education; and the second grant in the amount of$9,650 to Oak Creek Elementary for xeriscaping and outdoor <br />classroom demonstrations, Both projects are now complete, The county has also participating in creating a water <br />conservation plan. <br /> <br />Instream Flow Water Rights appropriated exclusively in this county total 39 miles and six stream segments, <br /> <br />Note: In reference to Instream Flow Water Rights, information listed above may not be inclusive of all water rights <br />in a given county since a stream segment may start in one county and end in another. <br /> <br />This county has 22 Designated Floodplain Studies affecting 166 stream reaches, In regard to Flood Mitigation, five <br />studies have been requested. They also participate in the National Flood Insurance Program and are part of the <br />NFIP Conununity Rating System, Concern has been expressed about rapid growth in areas with approximate <br />floodplain mapping like the Black Squirrel Creek Basin, New study proposal for Black Squirrel Creek Basin, There <br />is a Stream restoration proposal on Fountain Creek.
