<br />a visitor center at the proposed TWo Forks <br />Dam and Powerplant. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, <br />only minor cleanup items remain to complete <br />construction of Ruedi Dam. storage in Ruedi <br />Reservoir amounted to 45,075 acre-feet on <br />October 29, 1968. <br /> <br />The contractor for the construction of <br />the Divide, South Fork, and Chapman Tunnels, <br />Diversion Dams and appurtenant structures of <br />the South Side Collection System has com- <br />pleted about 90 percent of his contract. <br />Lining operations are complete in the Chap- <br />man and South Fork Tunnels. Work is nearing <br />completion on diversion dams and appurtenant <br />structures in the Chapman, South Fork, and <br />Fryingpan Valleys. The contractor continued <br />the exploratory drilling program on the <br />Divide Tunnel until the latter part of <br />October, at which time he resumed normal <br />tunnelin9 operations. The present. heading <br />is now about 4,713 feet from the west p<W't.aJ... <br /> <br />Construction of Sugar Loaf Dam is also <br />essentially complete with only minor cleanup <br />items remaining. St.orage in Turquoise Lake <br />amounted to 14,625 acre-feet on October 29, <br />1968. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The contractor for const.ruction of .eub-. <br />grade and st.-:uctures for the Denver and Rio <br />Grande Western Railroad relocation in the <br />Pueblo Reservoir has completed about 90 <br />percent of his contract. Work is continuing <br />on cut excavation and embankment building. <br />Most of the major structures are nearing <br />completion. The contract will be essentially <br />~omplete by December, 1968. <br /> <br />The Denver and Rio Grande Western Rail- <br />road has purchased cross ties for the re- <br />located line and has scheduled fabrication of <br />the track material for early 1969. <br />
