BERTHELSON: <br /> <br />O~V..L <br /> <br />Under small reclamation projects activi- <br />ties. the Overland Ditch and Reservoir Com- <br />pany. Hotchkiss. Colorado. has submitted <br />designs and estimates for the enlargement of <br />Overland Reservoir for a small project loan. <br />Review of the designs and estimates has been <br />completed and our suggested design changes <br />are being made by the engineer representing <br />the company. Fish and wildlife and recrea- <br />tion evaluations by cooperating federal and <br />state agencies are in progress. <br /> <br />The Farmers Water Development company, <br />Norwood, Colorado. has submitted a draft <br />of application report on a proposal to <br />enlarge the Gurley Reservoir. Regional <br />office personnel recently met with the <br />engineers representing the company to dis- <br />cuss water supply determinations. reservoir <br />sizing, designs and estimates. and other <br />data required in the report. Fish and wild- <br />life and recreation evaluations are in <br />progress by the Bureau of Sport Fisheries <br />and Wildlife and the Colorado Division of <br />Game, Fish and Parks. <br /> <br />The Yamcolo Reservoir company, Yampa, <br />Colorado. has prepared designs and estimates <br />for a 6.000-acre-foot reservoir on the Upper <br />Yampa River. The company engineer and the <br />Bureau were discussing considerations on <br />spillway design for that dam on November <br />7th. <br /> <br />Mr. Chairman, that completes my report." <br /> <br />"Are there any questions on the report of <br />aegion 4 by members of the Board?" <br /> <br />"Mr. Chairman, I'd like to inquire of <br />Robie. we released 8.3 million acre-feet <br />to the Lower Basin but apparently the river <br />didn't produce that much this year, did it? <br />In other words. you had to lower Lake Powell <br />in order to meet this demand." <br />
