Under small reclamation projects activi-
ties. the Overland Ditch and Reservoir Com-
pany. Hotchkiss. Colorado. has submitted
designs and estimates for the enlargement of
Overland Reservoir for a small project loan.
Review of the designs and estimates has been
completed and our suggested design changes
are being made by the engineer representing
the company. Fish and wildlife and recrea-
tion evaluations by cooperating federal and
state agencies are in progress.

The Farmers Water Development company,
Norwood, Colorado. has submitted a draft
of application report on a proposal to
enlarge the Gurley Reservoir. Regional
office personnel recently met with the
engineers representing the company to dis-
cuss water supply determinations. reservoir
sizing, designs and estimates. and other
data required in the report. Fish and wild-
life and recreation evaluations are in
progress by the Bureau of Sport Fisheries
and Wildlife and the Colorado Division of
Game, Fish and Parks.

The Yamcolo Reservoir company, Yampa,
Colorado. has prepared designs and estimates
for a 6.000-acre-foot reservoir on the Upper
Yampa River. The company engineer and the
Bureau were discussing considerations on
spillway design for that dam on November
7th.

Robie. we released 8.3 million acre-feet
to the Lower Basin but apparently the river
didn't produce that much this year, did it?
In other words. you had to lower Lake Powell
in order to meet this demand."
