<fD :to.

3. Aerial Survey Contract.

I

Mr. Bailey: We will take up Aerial Survey Contract which
has to do with the debit in the San Lui s Valley. I'lr.
Tipton who is ~iding the research work on this survey
feels that it is a must. hr. Crawford will you read the
contract?"

Mr. Crawford read the contract.

Mr. Williams: "Do they .retain the films?"

Mr. Crawford: "It is the usual custom that they keep the
film. The film would belong to the company."

Mr. Williams: "1 .think the water Board has a right to
those films. I don't see any reason in getting two prints
and not having ownership of the film."

Mr. Crawford: "1 think it is the common custom and they
are better prepared to take care of them than we are."

Mr. Dille: "Does that come out of our funds?"

Mr. Crawford: "It comes from a legislative appropriation."

Mr. Dutcher: "Do you have an understanding that you get
other prints later?"

Mr. Crawford:. "Yes, the cost would be 60~ per print."

-Mr. Bailey: "Ray, what is your idea about it?"

Mr. Moses: "1 don't like to see the title remain with the

Company."

Mr. Bailey: "If we owned the film, we'would have to pay
for storage."

Mr. Williams: "~at is the size of the print?"

Mr. Crawford: "The size of the print is given in the
contract. "

-I

Mr. Gildersleeve: "Those prints are 5t by 9 or 6 by 9. I
don't know exactly how many would cover that area. I imagine
it would take 500 or 600 prints. As I understand it the con-
tract price depends somewhat on whether the flying company
gets to keep the film or not. If we had ownership of the
film the contract would be higher."

Mr. Bailey: "What is the area covered by the survey?"
